Santas Village

Today we spent the day at Santa's Village.  A whole theme park is Christmas!  This weekend was specifically fun cause it was the Halloween weekend.  All the staff members were dressed up, the park was Halloween decorated and all the kids got to dress up in costumes.  Our kids don't do the dress up but we managed to do t-shirts and Halloween colours!

We start our day at the Elf University.  The boys each received a name tag with the alphabet in the shape of a Christmas Tree.

There are elves located at all the major rides, attractions, each has a different letter.  The kid need to slide their cards into the slot and punch the letter out.

Next a train ride around the park:

Mateo meeting the penguins... we figured out half way through our day that these penguins are actually trash cans!  They hats lift up.

Jaime's obsession cars.. he gets to drive his first car...

The cobwebs are all cause of the Halloween themed weekend

Reindeer roller coaster time!

He climbs on everything!

And now we do the favorites again...just with me this time:

The igloo has been transformed into a large pumpkin

My very first elf iron ring!

Gingerbread house

The Nativity

Some more rides:

The Reindeer farm:

You got a cracker????
While Jaime and Ili wait in the longest of lines, Mateo and I visit the reindeer's, do a photo shoot, run around the park and couple of times, visit the reindeer...

Finally...

Then we did the skyride..Mateo loving on his daddy

These are the moments we live for

on our sleigh ride
Views from the top

Normally you can post your Santa's letter here, but today the Post office was closed.

With tired feet we relax in the comfort of a padded chair to watch the Jingle bell Jamboree.

With all our letters punched, both boys received their certificates and special prizes

And a final goodbye from the major... actually now I wonder if he was a trash can too..??

And we hit the road, 40 min drive "home"

5min into our drive

Boys are all Santa'd out!

Ili and I enjoy the silence.  Enjoy the view.  Enjoy the open road.
Just loving life!
For dinner we explored the local Italian restaurant.  It was their last night open for the season so our plates were extra large.  If we weren't so preoccupied with keeping our kids calm in this little italian restaurant I would have taken some pics.  The boys had bolognase, mmm it was so good both boys had red faces from the sauce.  Ili had bolognase too and I had chicken saltimboca  which was to die for!  Coffee after was just the best along with the final slice of chocolate mousse cake.  Fantastic way to end our perfect day!
