July 4th - Independence day 2013.  One of the biggest public holidays in the US

How did we spend it - well we followed tradition.

The morning was spent at the Marion horse show

 

 



Eating a hot dog - stable American lunch

Jaime loved just walking around looking at the horses and talking, talking, talking

 The afternoon was spent in the pool and chilling out, literally chilling out, it was HOT and HUMID!

 

 

The evening was spent enjoying the fireworks.

We went to Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven, sat by the water and just watched the landscape explode with colour.  It was beautiful.  Both Jaime and Mateo were mesmerized.

 

 

 

 

 

 

and while we walk away with the crowd, my son screams out of no where

"well MOM, I still wanna live in Africa forever" 

You can take the monkey out the jungle but you cant take the jungle out the monkey
