Farewell 2012

 

Looking back at 2012, we the Jardim familia have really been blessed.  We celebrated our first year in the US, bought a house, worked through the stress and panic of pregnancy and had a beautiful full term newborn, celebrated birthdays, shared our new home to numerous visitors from home, had my parents here twice in one year and and and ... well take a look, I tried to summarise the year in 1 pic a month.  It was very very difficult to choose just one event per month and as you can see some months I just couldn't!

 

January

 

 

January included snow days, house hunting, and lots of indoors activities! 

 

February

 

 

February, the month Ili flew to SA to pack up our stuff and bring it to our new home.  We celebrated uncle Peter's birthday and valentines Day.

 

 

March

 

 

 

March included Mixed sports for Jaime and beautiful chilly, sunny beach days at our winter rental in Marion

 

 

April

 

 

April, a big month for us!  The month we were pleasantly surprised that we were blessed with another miracle, we signed the purchase closing documents to our new home, celebrated Easter, started swimming lessons with Jaime and celebrated my birthday,

 

May

 

 

May we celebrated Jaime's 4th birthday, my folks arrived from SA, trips to the zoo, New Bedford air show, beach visits, ice cream stops, start of the warm weather!

 

June

 

 

 Official summer month!  Enjoying our new home, swimming, gardening, building a play gym, swimming swimming swimming! Celebrating Robby's and Avo Tony's birthday and enjoying fathers day with family and friends.  A trip to New Port

 

July

 

July we went whale watching and spent lots of familia time together!  Also, trips to the beach, Mystic Aquarium, Boston and La Salette, start of Track for Jaime, horse show for Independence day,

 

 

August

 

 

 

August the heart of summer which meant music at the Park.  We celebrated Ili and Josh's birthday.  Trips to Newport, the butterfly zoo, the Rochester Country Fair and of course the New Bedford Portuguese festa " the biggest festa in the world".

 

September

 

 

 September was filled with everything soccer!  Celebrated our 1 year USAnniversary and Laura's birthday.  And we managed to squeeze in some Apple and pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, cooking our biggest cravings, painting of the main bedroom and building up the cupboard.  

 

 

October

 

 

 October featured the passing of 32 weeks (Jaime's gestational age when he was born)! 

Trips to Edaville for ride on Thomas the train, Cranberry festival, Halloween buildup and evening.  A visit from Madrinha Yvette *yay*.  Jaime's annual cranio appointment.  And we celebrated our wedding anniversary.

 

November

 

 

Start of karate!

Celebrated Thanksgiving with family and friends and Veterans Day with a parade, and lots and lots of quality time with Jaime.

 

 

December

 

 

And finally December... the biggest month of the year! 

The birth of our little boy Mateo and spending Christmas with family and friends! 

Otherwise December included our first real snowfall for the season, trip to Edaville, decorating the house for Christmas, enjoying, loving, breathing, sleeping our newborn!

 

 

We really have been blessed with more than I ever dreamed of, may 2013 be filled with love, happiness and lots of new opportunities to make more memories we can never forget!
